Hi, I am Carmen, a 21 year old university student and I would like to explore more in the entertainment industry as it has always been a dream of mine to be an actress. I also like to try out new things to up-skill myself where I have learnt the piano, archery, yong chun during my free time.

Giving an insight of my past experiences, I have learnt dance professional for 4 years in School Of The Arts (SOTA), focusing mostly on contemporary and ballet and accomplished my RAD Vocational Advance 2 ballet examination with merit. I have also done acting classes since young under Singapore Media Academy (in Chinese) and had the honour of being in a few stage production, commercials and 1 kids TV series when I was younger. In the more recent years, during my final 2 years in SOTA, I did Literature and Performance and did a stage production for my assessment. I have also recently completed my Diploma in Acting (Chinese) with Singapore Media Academy in 2023 which honed my acting skills and taught me how to film in a set.

As an aspiring actress, I would take all the opportunity I can to act in any position, be it a passerby or a named role. I love the way that I can be someone other than myself when being in character and experience a more fulfilling lifestyle. I especially love staged production because I can feel the adrenaline in me when I remain in character for the entire duration of the show and there is no "retake" on the stage.
