As part of SG60's 'Flex Your Passion' mentorship programme, a group of young filmmakers is casting for the short film Shell.

Genre: Romantic Comedy, Drama

Synopsis: A grumpy, reclusive old man nicknamed Eggman isolates himself from his neighbors until Shelly, a warm and lively new resident, persistently reaches out to him. Despite his initial hostility, her small act of kindness plants the seed of an unexpected connection. As Eggman learns to open his heart, a mysterious crack in his face threatens to shatter everything—until he finally embraces the community he once pushed away.

Roles:

Eggman - Male lead, screen age: 60-80 years old, preferably Chinese

Shelly - Female supporting, screen age: 60-80 years old, preferably Chinese (preferably able to speak Chinese)

Casting Period: March - April/May 2025

Shooting Period: May 2025 (exact dates TBC)
