Synopsis:
A lonely boy stepping into adolescence sets out to cheer up his ailing grandmother with her favourite Cantonese porridge, but soon finds himself on a journey of understanding loss, grief and growing up.

1. Dennis
- Acting age : 13
- Gender : Male
- Race : Chinese
- Language spoken : English, Chinese
- A shy but curious boy who often bottles up his feelings but has a very close relationship with his Ah-ma.

2. Ah-ma
- Acting age : 80 and above
- Gender : Female
- Race : Chinese
- Languages spoken : Chinese
- A grandmother who is benevolent but frail due to old age. She is widowed and stays alone after her beloved husband passed away 2-3 years ago. She dotes on Dennis a lot.

3. Ah Ping
- Acting age : 65 and above
- Gender : Female
- Race : Chinese
- Languages spoken : Cantonese, Chinese, English
- A loud, somewhat insensitive woman but she has a soft heart. A family feud with her elder brother forced her to give up her porridge stall, leaving her bitter and withdrawn.
