Casting call for a short film 'Sky Pirates'

Synopsis:
A tale that is set in our modern age about a 13 year old boy who has to find ways to get
over the grief of his late brother and because of their creative imagination whilst creating a comic book, the sudden halt in that story brought forth the comic characters into our world. With limited time given to send the characters back to their dimension, the young brother is forced to face with his reality and any fears that held him back from the recovery. All in all the young brother succeeded and the comic book characters that set foot into his reality was sent home safely.

CHARACTERS:

Protagonist: Shaheen
Race: Malay
Age: 12 - 15

Character traits: Shaheen is basically a scrawny and nerdy looking character. He's more introverted in any case given and tend to shy away from any adventure or situation handed to him. In the beginning bit of the story, Shaheen is someone who doesn't have any courage and is portrayed as someone who get picked on so easily. As the story progress, we unveil his identity and breakdown his purpose which will lead him to becoming someone who is more vulnerable emotionally but stronger physically and mentally as he get over the barrier of losing his older sibling.

Supporting: Hadi
Race: Malay
Age: 14 - 18

Character traits: Hadi is the lovable character that almost every film have. He's basically the epitome of goodness and kindness. He's protective of his younger brother and everyone loves him because he listens and obey instructions, he stand up for what is right, he's cute and good looking, he brings himself across as someone easy going. There is never a problem with him.

Supporting: Mother
Race: Malay
Age: 25 - 35

Character traits: Mother is characterized as someone who is stern and fierce though it is obvious that she loves her children. In the entire story in which she appears on screen, she has to be expressive since she'll be hitting all the main emotions, angry, panicky, remorse, pity and happy. Truth be told, she is the typical Asian mother who will give tough love for our own benefits.
