The Role of Nathan in The Full Monty is the 10/11-year-old son of Jerry, the unemployed steel worker whose great idea it is to do a Chippendale style strip show to earn some money to pay for his son’s maintenance. His parents are divorced, and he lives with his mum, but he wants to help his dad maintain his visitation rights.

Production dates:

Performances: October 9th – November 1st, 2020 (covid willing)

Rehearsals: August 31st – October 8th, 2020

What to prepare:

- A one-minute musical theatre song that best shows off your voice.

- A one-minute monologue with an American accent.

Self-tape guide:

- You can record you audition piece using your mobile phone.

- If using your mobile phone, shoot in landscape NOT portrait.

- Frame yourself in the camera so that it is a mid-shot (waist to top of head in the frame).

- Try to record against a plain background with no shadows behind you. You must be seen clearly.

- Check the room for sound i.e. close any windows, turn off any devices in the background, air-conditioning, noise that may come from another room.

- Say your name and age and tell us what song you will be performing.

- Perform your song with minus one or piano a compliment. Then tell us the title of your speech and perform your speech.
