Cast for a Malay Short Film

Project Type: We are a group of film students from NAFA working on a short film titled "Nenek" for our Final Year Project (FYP). We are looking for 4 main actors. The short film will be in Malay.

Synopsis: Reminiscing the times she had with her grandmother while she was still alive, Ina tries to recreate her grandmother''s curry puff in hopes to cope with her grief. She then had flashbacks of the memories she had while growing up.

Requirements:

Main Cast

1. Younger Ina

- Girl

- Screen age: 5-8 Years old

- Malay (able to converse in Malay as well)

- A happy-go-lucky yet mischievous kid that is extremely clingy with her grandmother

2. Older Ina

- Female

- Screen age: 18-22 Years old

- Malay

- Extroverted yet closed off to certain people. She likes to put out a tough front

Support Cast

3. Ina's mom

- Female

- Screen age: 40s

- Malay

- Empathetic mother

4. Sariah (Nenek)

- Female

- Screen age: 60-70 Years old

- Malay

- A heartwarming and warm elderly. Your typical soft-hearted grandmother

5. Kak Long

- Female

- Screen age: 45-55 Years old

- Malay

- A hostile makcik who is pampered and manipulative

6. Pak Ngah

- Male

- Screen age: 45-55 Years old

- Malay

- An empathetic uncle who defuses the situation. The middle man

7. Pak Lang

- Male

- Screen age: 45-55 Years old

- Malay

- An evil uncle who adds fuel to the fire, always wanting things to go his way
