Rowena
31 years old, West region, Singapore
Born and raised in Singapore, Rowena’s love for theatre first began when she first watched a production of Wicked the musical at Marina Bay Sands. She then went on to crew for an Indian play called Nagamandala at the Esplanade. As a stagehand, she managed to catch a glimpse of the magic of live theatre, which sparked her interest in performing. After graduating from NgeeAnn Polytechnic’s Diploma in Mass Communication programme, she decided to pursue a degree in Musical Theatre. She trained as a musical theatre performer for three years in LASALLE College of the Arts. Rowena graduated from the BA(Hons) Musical Theatre programme at LASALLE in 2020. Her credits in LASALLE include Jojo in Seussical The Musical and Annie in Chicago. Rowena also had the opportunity to be the ensemble as well as Assistant Director in LASALLE’s production of Fiddler on the Roof, and Aida. Apart from theatre, she is also interested in acting for Film/TV and looks forward to venturing into these platforms.
