My unique experience of starting preschool in Singapore, followed by primary school in Jakarta and secondary school in Hong Kong have made me open to the dynamic cultures of our globalised world. In these cities, I have participated in a myriad of activities in sports and cultural fields. One of my most notable achievements was to establish and lead the St. Mary’s Home for the Aged project in Hong Kong, a community service focused on helping elderly folks. I planned the programmes, by assigning tasks for fellow students. I played the piano while others played instruments and danced. I acquired leadership qualities and planning capabilities from leading these events, as a great deal of organization and scheduling were involved to ensure that the programmes ran smoothly.



I was also a core member of the 24 hour race charity group for three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018. I gained practical experience of volunteer service as I raised at least 12,000 HKD to support anti- slavery based NGOs. During these experiences, I alongside my teammates participated in three ultramarathons lasting 24 hours to raise awareness for the cause of ending slavery. We raised 9 million HKD and I gained a deeper understanding of the present global issues of human trafficking and slavery.



I won second place in the Hong Kong International Schools chess open in 2016, participated in gala concerts in Shanghai and Hong Kong, and was selected to perform in a concert with Lang Lang. In 2015, I received the German Swiss International School certificate of Academic Excellence. In Jakarta, I have won various inter-school football and swimming competitions. In Hong Kong, I represented the school’s football and basketball teams and was the editor for the school newspaper and yearbook extracurricular. As the pianist and founding member of our year group’s flagship rock band, I have performed a multitude of key events, such as at the Christmas concert and Graduation Night ceremony.



Now serving my National Service as a Dog Trainer and Jeep Driver, I have made meaningful use of my time in the army acquiring new skills, such as discipline and confidence, skills vital for a career that allows me to one day act, dance and sing in a group.
