Jane Lau is an Actor, Presenter, Voice Over Artist and Singer/Songwriter/Producer based in Singapore. Jane has extensive experience acting in television dramas, short films and corporate videos including recurring roles on Mediacorp's 'Sunny Side Up', '100 Wishes' and 'Schoolhouse Rockz'. As a former Broadcast Journalist and TV Producer, she has also done numerous Presenting and English Voice Over projects. Jane has a M.S (TV) from Boston University where she studied Acting for Directors; as well as a Grade 8 (Distinction) in Musical Theatre (Trinity College London) and a Grade 8 in Piano (ABRSM) and. Jane is a former Producer/Presenter with Mediacorp Television Singapore.
Jane is best known for playing a supporting role in the Mediacorp long form drama 'Sunny Side Up' as the kopitiam boss 'Ah Liu'. Her other acting roles include that of lawyers, mothers, daughters, teachers and doctors in television dramas including 'KIN', 'R.E.M - The Next Generation', 'School House Rockz' and '100 Wishes'; as well as short films like 'Cabbage' (Director Chris Martin) and 'Baby' (Director Yanqui Fei). Jane has also acted in, presented and voiced-over various student films and corporate videos. Jane would like to gain more acting experience with a diverse range of roles; and as a musician and electronic music producer, she is also open to music-related opportunities.
Jane speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, basic Japanese (JLPT N5), simple Cantonese and beginner's Korean.
